It was mainly used in cathode ray tubes faceplate glass, you know for televisions and monintors, but since the standard is no longer CRT, its use is way down

Just wait till hipsters bring back CRTs. They already did vinyl and radio tubes. I mean sure the CRT image is inferior but the colors are warmer and the blacks are richer.
