Topic: A few months ago I scored a couple of HP slim business keyboards from work

Meta !Sober//iZs started this discussion 7 years ago #77,394

Brand new in box. I've tried to give these away to family, friends, and people I do computer repairs for and NOBODY FUCKING WANTS ONE. Not even for FREE.

They're stylish, pretty crisp and quiet key action, slim, and of course clean and brand new.

Why do people act like I'm trying to share dirty AIDS needles when I offer them a nice new keyboard?

Would you take one?

I'd use one myself but I don't like rubber dome keyboards.

Also as a Person Of Adipose, I find the word "slim" triggering. :/

i would think about it and then say no because I already have 1 spare keyboard and I don't really want to waste space storing another useless keyboard

What's your spare keyboard? Is it really nicer than a brand new HP slim business keyboard? Keep in mind these retail for $21

Cherry blue or go home. Thanks.

That's some outdated gay shit from the '80s though. Get with the times grampa!

The batteries are always going to be dying though. You need a reliable spare keyboard with USB power and a 1 year warranty.

Cherry blue mechanical is the best keyboard set up, even today.

lol when I was using it regularly I'd charge it like once every 3 months. it had the best battery
or I could have just kept it plugged in
big deal

Which is why Logitech and Razer use it. Oh wait, they don't. They have in-house designed new switches and not some gay shit off a Commodore 64 from 1983

@906,068 (Meta !Sober//iZs)
and yeah I saw that yours came with the assurance of a 1 year warranty
but mine has been working since like 2011

It can't be that good if you stopped using it regularly.

I replaced it with a keyboard that has loud af mecha-membrane switches or some shit ?

Logitech uses it for its high end gaming keyboards. Thanks.

So it's just membrane keyboard with clickers? Why not just get a real membrane keyboard like... the HP Slim Business USB keyboard??

Yes! I just unwrapped one and plugged it in. I'm typing on it now! It's so fucking smooth and quiet. It's like typing on velvet. I can't even hear myself typing on it. Like you could break into someone's house and write a book on this keyboard and they wouldn't even wake up. The membrane action is crisp and smooth. It's so sleek and black, it's like the batmobile of keyboards. It's so slim it barely rises above the desk. It's like typing ON the desk. Like this is so nice I think I'm going to throw my Redragon Kumara K552 and Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 in the trash.

Sometimes people don't accept gifts from fat people. I don't know why, I would and those keyboards look neet.

> keyboards look neet
No. NEET keyboards have gay rainbow backligting and cheeto crumbs. These are professional business keyboards for serious businessmen.
