Topic: I tried Aloe Vita today.

It's basically aloe vera in "pure water," though it is a flavored water drink.

It claims to be good for your belly, but I'm not sure why.

I never knew you could consume aloe vera before and thought it was only there for sunburns and other medical issues as a lotion.

This actually isn't that bad tasting. I found it at Winco.

If you put plant extract shit in water it's not "pure water" anymore!

It depends what part of the plant (and how much) you ingest. Aloe has been used in laxatives in the past. Aloe extract has been shown to be a bowel irritant and carcinogen in rats. Aloe taken orally may also interfere with glucose-lowering medications. I doubt the aloe juice in Aloe Vita poses a significant danger to humans, but here's what the NIH has to say.

It's godamned sugar water with 0.2 ppm USAmerican aloe* style plantfood product additives SG227, 4818, 1080R and is not a "health drink"

I didn't see any of those things listed on the ingredients.

And the only thing that seems to be unhealthy for you is the sugar, but your body still needs sugar anyway so I don't see why it isn't a compromise.

What are the ingredients. Looked at their website and other than what is listed on label there is no mention of how much Aloe is in the water

@previous (Syntax)
