Topic: I should have purchased a Roku instead of Chromecast.

This shit is retarded. Sometimes the device connects but the mobile device loses its connection to where you have no way of controlling the stream leaving you to stop it from the Google Home app. Sometimes it just doesn't pair at all. And people expect me to believe that the future is wireless? I know these issues would have plagued the Roku TV since Spectrum is a company that is now getting a ton of fucking hate in the High Desert, but at least I wouldn't be without a fucking remote.

Haha, the joke's on your indeed. Chromecast doesn't even work without working internet. Because Google needs to know everything you do. Airplay ftw.

Doesn't Apple services also require the Internet?

I have both. Prefer the chromecast cause I can stream pirated content easily. Roku is useless for that.

You can't even crack it like the Amazon Fire sticks?

The chrome cast extension in the chrome browser works fine for streaming anything I've found so far. I don't think I even had to download it, it's just part of chrome i think.

Mine either. that's what the chromecast does is let's me stream from my PC to the TV across the house. I'm doing that until I have a media pc setup with wireless peripherals in the den.

You might be able to control it with your TV's remote
