He was less a dysfunctional character and more a parody of a dysfunctional character. :/
Chris from the first cast was (in my opinion) great as a dysfunctional character. He had some issues, but he was likable and had some character depth.

I honestly miss the first cast when I see the others. Everything was just perfect with the first cast, but the other series' seem to be trying too hard to force situations and get as much drama in as possible :/
