I don't know if I ever fully answered his questions as to what modem and router I have on my internet connection, but I fortunately my modem model on Amazon (surprisingly) so here it is.
I changed my modem about a year ago from the ancient one we were using.
The current modem we are using right now is the Arris TM1602.
That is for Victorville Ca. South of you the speed is 200 Mbps.
So exactly what is your current download speed? Spectrum will install that free modem at no charge of course and make sure you are getting all you are paying for at no charge.
Hope you are able to borrow a snow blower given the first summer snow storm is about to hit your village.

I got the modem from Spectrum free of charge. That was the modem they gave us when we replaced our old one.
I should have specified this in the initial post which I thought I did, but whatever.

@previous (Catherine !ttGirlsPl2) > The router that we have hooked up to that is a Netgear WNDR3400v3.
Something about this makes no cents to me. The up to date Modem from Spectrum INCLUDES THE MODEM
Adding a router is asking for trouble for multiple reasons.
So currently what speed do you get? Download and Upload?

You should take the free modem and sell it for a profit

The Spectrum's have an encrypted key that requires unlocking by Spectrum via a Ping
Two independent routers running Wi-Fi in very close proximity can end up jamming each other - In theory the design is such it should still work but with reduced abilities. In practice it usually works like crap. Spectrum does offer a box to extend the range of a router and even that one requires Distance between the two which of course one wood have anyway

I won’t have a modem if I did that.
