The US imprisons 1% of its population, giving the US the highest per-capita imprisonment rate in the world and the largest prison population! You can't afford free healthcare but can afford the $80B it costs to sustain this manifestly racist system, as well as the $610B spent on the military!
The US has 5% of the world's population, but 31% of the world's mass shootings, with homicide rates 25% higher in USAmerica than any other high-income country!
In an average USAmerican month, 50 women are murdered by their partners!
Not fully content with the 50 children who are shot each day (7 of whom will die — 4 are murdered, 3 commit suicide), America's under-5 mortality rate is higher than Slovakia, Serbia, B&H, Lithuania and Hungary.
Similarly, Macedonia, Slovenia, Kuwait and B&H have lower rates of maternal mortality than the US — in fact, the US can boast the highest maternal mortality rate of all modern industrialised countries!
But that's OK — 89% of Americans can find America on the map. ?
