So you get lessons and quizzes online, right? And there's a dropbox for assignments and stuff. PM if there's something you don't get. A sort of forum for each course that I guess they also meant for small talk between students and stuff, but that won't happen.
And you gotta write final exams in person.

Ya comparing it to other colleges, yes the fees are the same. IMO though, the level of education you get is not worth the money spent.
Some places of employment don't even recognise the online college.
You pay RL college fees to pay the teachers and keep the college facilities (Which you will most likely be using) in an adequate condition. What exactly are you paying for with the online college? Nothing really.

That's the fun of it, college is so big you're making new friends everyday. This usually means that if you get sick of your current friends you can move onto a new group. In European colleges anyway, there is a very fine line between popular and unpopular. Fair enough, I'm studying Multimedia and Programming. If I make a joke about Boxy or /b/ half the class will burst out laughing, I hate the course but the people are great.
