Of the many projects I have been asked to work on as a consultant, I do look at design opportunities, and of course reject many. Long ago I did some consulting for a pacemaker company. Challenging design task and completed. They asked me to become a full time employee and I said no thanks. I just did not want one of my engineering mistrakes to end up hurting a human.
