Nah its not gonna be good
For one thing now your landlord can put it in your lease that you can't smoke weed not only in your own house but also on your balcony, backyard, etc and lawfully evict you for it
Also it's gonna be expensive, they're gonna sell it at the government liquor stores iirc
People are just gonna keep buying from dealers tbh

Protip - vape pens produce hardly any odor and are easily concealable. They're super popular in legal states here when you still want to be discrete.
Also, joints and blunts produce the most smell. If you have to smoke, use a one-hitter (the type no bigger than a cigarette) and choke it down. You'll barely smell it even in the other room.
Pipes are great too, but smell more than one hitters. Helps if you cover the bowl to snuff out the smolder so it doesn't just sit there stinking up the house.
One hitters outside are really hard to detect. Just keep a cigarette going and no one will even notice.

I have a disposable weed vape pen someone gave me, it's quite nice
And have a one hitter somewhere
But tbh people smoke weed outside in mtl constantly and never have trouble
Like I know a lot of people who have been in jail for a lot of things who smoke a lot of weed and they have never had trouble with that
But altogether A+ advice thanks

Yeah in Quebec you can get beer/wine/alcopops anywhere but hard liquor is only at the government liquor stores
Ontario has all alcohol in government liquor stores
Alberta has all private liquor stores (but they're separate from grocery stores, you can only get alcohol at those stores)

I'm pretty sure your lease already doesn't specify what you can't smoke in your apartment, just that you can't smoke.
Also, if the landlords think kicking out most of their tenants is the right business move, then they can do that. I don't think it makes any sense though.

that depends on where you live, i guess. we sign contracts and have a legal right to the property. renters rights i guess vary from state to state, but here in texas it's actually pretty hard to get evicted even for cause, like not paying rent. i would actually have an easier time taking my landlord to court over failure to uphold their contract then they do evicting me, cause evicting me requires they go get a sheriff to come down here and remove me. i have more right to kick down a door they changed the locks on then they do to "kick me out."
now, if the sheriff does come down, then you're fucked and your shit is left on curb for garbage collection. but yeah, eviction is like a legal process, not just a business move.
