I doubt that would have lasted very long. Only a minority of Germany itself was a member of the Nazi party.

Authoritarian states don't rely on majorities bud, the 3rd Reich obviously didn't have any problem committing mass murder for political gain.

The socialists were very different. It's kind of like telling the difference between asians. They all look the same to a white guy, but if you are asian, there is a huge difference between chinese/korean/japanese.
Remember, The soviets were on our side during WW2, and the Chinese (who were socialists at the time) were on our side as well. Even those two (soviets, and chinese) divided in the "Sin-Soviet split", because of their differences.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Soviets weren't the ones that killed most of the Jewish detainees. What good would it be for the USSR to have to feed and rehabilitate all those starving Jews? If I may remind you, the Jews were also considered an enemy in the USSR.

The Soviets on the other hand were quite happy to send in floods of untrained conscripts many of who had ineffective weaponry.

Nazis did win the war. It is why we are in Afghanistan. They wanted to terrorize us and we let them win. We can't even get on a plane anymore without being groped since they began their campaign against our freedoms.
