I was unaware he was gone until seeing mention if it here..

He seemed to me to be a pretty cool individual...I enjoyed watching a few television projects he was involved in..

I guess it appealed to me about how he really enjoyed booze...he seemed very happy when people he was engaged with on his shows broke out the hootch and poured everyone a drink...I liked his jovial personality..

I will miss Mr Bourdain..
