She was old anyway so it's not unexpected. Though I did find out that if cats cannot get to the location they found to die they would die on the way to that location. I also learned that cats tolerate pain more so their owners would have a hard time knowing unlike dogs who would likely let their owners know. I thought she was going to die under my bed, but the first time she was sleeping. When I checked out her she woke herself up and started meowing like she normally does. When I found her deceased she was still under the bed, but she moved to where her ears were sticking out of the bed sheets that I had previously dropped down to give her some privacy since I thought that if she knew there was a presence then she might have a hard time going since some animals actually prefer to die alone. So now I am intrigued about where she was going before she died. She was old though so it was her time anyway. Found her as a kitten with her sister (deceased sometime ago) and she even managed to have an offspring who might now is a little cunt because she has this nasty habit of scratching whenever she gets pissed.

No one can figure out what a cat is thinking. Except perhaps if you offer them food which is not the preferred tuna
Cathy so sorry for your loss. Looked and shocking as it may be Victorville does show cats available at shelters

I agree with anon I, that's kinda fucked up that you made her die alone. I would have comforted her if I were you.
