Topic: Is there a way to turn email off at night?

Anonymous A started this discussion 8 years ago #75,804

So that I just get my emails at once in the morning, but still with time stamps on them showing when they were sent?

Some kind of sleep mode for email.

What kind of device?

All the email accounts I use have time stamps no matter what. Not device dependent because the time stamp is on the server side.

I want to do this from the email account itself, across devices. Make it so that I can't check email at night.

Sleep experts say you should not use electronic devices in bed.

LOL
Any email service I am aware of is NOT aware of you at all unless you are logged in.

Hummmm - Maybe you want say a PC to be on all the times and are you saying you do not want that PC to check email except when you want it to connect to server and check it?

There are so many free internet email tools with all kinds of options. You did say all devices so seems to me IF YOU DO NOT peek at your mail except when you want to peek at it problem solved.

IF You however want to control say what the Gmail server does? Fat chance of that LOL

Get a Kindle Fire tablet. They have parental controls to limit when it can be used. Then just set it so it can't be used between 8pm-8am or whatver

He did say All devices
Makes no cents 2me AND all he has to do is just not look. He cannot stop Gmail or Hotmail from receiving any mail. He could stop the US Postoffice from delivering the mail until he picks it up. (Still they will receive that mail and hold it on instructions - After a while they will insist on him paying for a PO Box.

Just send a message to people telling them not to email you at night.

Use one of these with sticky on edge. One per device.

Ask that bitch Hillary. Tell her I told you to ask her. She'll know who I am.

Why would you use a tack on a sticky note?

Anonymous H replied with this 8 years ago, 6 minutes later, 15 hours after the original post[^] [v] #893,562

@previous (FuckAlms !vX8K53rFBI)
Because that solution is frankly a Tacky Solution

Also to busy with work to wade through google images to find a sticky with that do not disturb without the stupid tack.
