Actually you're right, between shipping costs and packaging labor it might save big bucks over the long run. I concede to being probably, maybe, partially, slightly incorrect.

Lots of applications for that product in Robots for production lines.
Once upon a tyme I needed Work just b4 I threw in 4Total Telecom stuff.
Wrote myself up as a Robotics Consultant - Terrific resume it was lol
I had Zero experience in Robots anything but really wanted to be in Robots. I ended up with a huge monster of a Robots company on a 6 month project as head of design/system as a demo only Robot to show total capability of company's advanced technology. Turns out Robots are built with off the shelf ANYTHING.
Open up a book and choose a bock of this and that - A motor here a servo or 15 there and controllers lots of small computers and a mass of tubing for Hydraulics and Vacuum systems - sensors of all sorts.
Bottom line is/was I had zero experience in Hydraulics and Vacuum and the mass of sensors necessary. Nor R I any good at mechanics which I knew re taking one car apart as kiddlet.
I take a mechanical device apart and end up with spare parts when I put it back together.
Company THOUGHT I was wonderful - but they had no clue I put in 18 hour days 7 days a week and was sweating being found out as incompetent.
If I could have picked up a job as Engineer with that company I would have loved it but they wood never hire me based on no prior experience. Selling Me to them as Consultant means never having to show any prior experience but they ASSUMED I did have re super looking Resume with all the bells and whistles they needed nor did I lie at all on paper.
So I can say for a fact that product IF made available as a System off the shelf product with sell like CRAZY - Handling items is a key element in any production device - from tiny chips for Intel to large sheets of metal for Ford or GM

Okay, so a household application of this would be to easily clean up spills (referring to the handheld device). I wonder how well it would work on carpet.
