At my school, the cop from D.A.R.E. (drug abuse resistance education) passed around 3 joints to show everyone- and warned us that "if i don't get all three of these back, this school is getting locked down, and everyone is getting searched until i find it."

30 minutes later when everyone got to see 'em and the joints got passed back - the cop had 4. He was pretty pissed and claimed that he could have it fingerprinted, but I dont think that prints stay on paper. We got a good talking to for that.
