Ceems much proof exists. That reporter did ask my name and where I lived. I think someone else gave out my name because just as reporter was asking questions a gal pulled me away to go to the other venue to dance.
I do enjoy how reporters are good at looking up stuff on web cause I have not lived in Carlsbad in many years now lol.
But hey the girl in the costume was a Girl Scout age 14 and not easy dancing with claws that kept coming off. Had to hold her by elbows. Her girl friends brought her over to me for the dance.
They tell me video appeared on LA News channel but have yet to find a reference to that.
That event is nothing compared to tyme I was dancing around noon in Pacific Beach at a festival with one lovely gal and I knew she was braless cause I ALWAYS do a Bra check as well as a wedding ring check early on.
Bra check so I do not bend the gal over to far as not to embarrass everyone. However on our third dance of the afternoon around noon or so a TV crew with live on air cameras came up behind me and when I put her in2 a spin turn - Her breasts flew out right on live TV . Deal is I knew something went astray yet did NOT see the falling out. TV Lens was rite over my shoulder so I pulled her directly in to me tight and she was able to put those puppies right back inside.
She kept one hell of a smile on her face and we continued the dance. Crew gave me a copy of the news cast, however THEY EDITED OUT the falling out part..Very sorry I was the only one to miss seeing all there was to see
That fall out is not so uncommon and in Cajun dancing I used to use a turn that would cause front loaders to unhook the bra. NOT ON Purpose and it took me a while to figure out Y and then how to modify that move so it NEVER happens again.

The shoes are made out of very very thin leather as flexibility is paramount. 100% leather which is rare these day in dress shoes. Not sold in San Diego - Downtown LA and not always in stock in my size.
Machines here in USA are not set up to handle the fine thread for resew fixing leather nor will this side of border shoe fixers add inserts of leather - cut and shape and dye and then hand sew in where the machine does not fit. One boot repair shop in LA can do some of the repairs and even hand sew, but at bottom line cost of over $200 so Y do?
It really comes down to not wanting to break in a new pair which takes a lot of tyme to fit most purrrrfectt...
Now since ya all have so much tyme for research go look at Lindy dancer photos and notice Tennis shoes.
That is the current fav choice for flexibility .. DOES NOT have the dress up factor - Oh how do they dance in tennis shoes on Oak floors??? They glue on a special smooth felt bottom on. Most dancers custom make their own to fit.
I do have back up pairs and new pairs in White. White usually with White Tux - White dinner jacket and Christmas of many variations of White Shoes n Red pants and White dinner jacket and lots of variations of such

When you're doing it you don't want someone to remind you that there's no pain,no gain....but later on, after I'm through doing my pain and I'm actively productive again, then I'll be glad to sit down and think yeah, right, I did have to go through that to rise to this sort of personal power.
For that reason alone there are people that wouldn't buy Beach Boys records because they don't think the Beach Boys stand for anything that's happening now. I can't argue with the fact that someone might get punched in the nose (? - JG)....if somebody punched me in the nose and broke it, it would anger me to all hell. I might slow down for a month or two and not wanna do anything, or just call people bastards or whatever; that's just going on inside my head – what's going on outside my head is a lot of people saying “C'mon Brian, let's get a hit record, you can do it†and there's people saying “Fuck you Brian Wilson, you aint happening, it aint you, it's not your sceneâ€.
