First of all, none of that is related to your comment. None.
As for healthcare, I've heard of the wait times in countries with socialized medicine and they worry me. I like being able to be treated for health problems without having to wait months. Though I do think that we should make Healthcare more accessible to the poor.
Regarding immigration, I feel as though we should comb wanting countries and pick the best and brightest and allow them and their families (including patents) to legally immigrate. I don't agree with shipping thousands of uneducated Muslim males into this country.
Regarding military, I believe gender dysphoria is a mental illness. If we allow people with such a condition, than we should allow people with other mental illnesses.

From what I've been told, gender dysphoria is a near debilitating condition that results in panic attacks, extreme depression, ptsd, and even episodes of disassociation and depersonalization. What were their symptoms? Because from what I've been told, gender dysphoria makes it nearly impossible to function in society, especially without medications
Even ADHD puts severe restrictions on enlisting. So why doesnt a condition that requires appearance altering medication and modified language use in order for a person to thrive, also see the same scrutiny?

We hear about trans people who are on heavy medication and require the use of modified pronouns in order to function. That sounds pretty rational to me too. It just sounded like you were lumping ADHD and gender dysphoria and paranoid schizophrenia all into the same category there. There are plenty of functional people with what you could call mental illnesses, and they aren't all suffering the same thing. I feel like anyone entering the military should be evaluated on the basis of whether they personally can do what is being asked of them, not on an assumption based on a broad label.

Well, things like depression, anxiety, or ADHD seem to work on a sliding scale where there are criteria that would disqualify you, but just having a history of that diagnosis isn't enough to keep you out. Particularly since every other kid seemed to be diagnosed as ADHD there for while. They seem to recognize that there are gray areas and individuals can be assessed on the basis of their particular symptoms. I haven't seen anything indicating Trump's ideas about transgender people in the military came from a detailed risk assessment.

North Korea has just moved three Korean Americans from a hard labor camp, is likely to release them.
Quote: planned meeting between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, and an unprecedented thaw in the relationship between North and South Koreas, Pyongyang decided to release the three Korean-Americans detained in the country's labor camps Tuesday.
Choi Sung-ryong, a representative of the families of the prisoners, told South Korean news outlet Naver: "We talked with a source in North Korea today. North Korean authorities released Kim Dong-cheol, Kim Sang-deok and Kim Hak-seong, who were in jail at the labor correction center in early April, and they are currently in a ‘course’ where they are treated and educated at a hotel outside Pyongyang.”
Choi added that the source revealed North Korea was negotiating with the United States about the best way to get the detainees back home. One of the ways involved was releasing them back on the day of the Trump-Kim summit, although no specific date has been finalized yet for the meeting.
Newly appointed National Security Advisor John Bolton told Fox News on Sunday: "If North Korea releases the detained Americans before the North-US summit, it will be an opportunity to demonstrate their authenticity."
Dong-chul is a South Korea-born American pastor who was arrested and detained by North Korea in 2015 on the charge of spying. He was sentenced to 10 years hard labor in 2016. Hak-song and Sang-duk were both working at the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology, when they were detained last year on suspicion of "hostile acts."
After being released from the labor camp, the three men were undergoing “ideological education such as receiving health treatment” because they were believed to have “deteriorated” during their imprisonment.
According to report, North Korea was being extra-careful about prisoners being given proper healthcare because they did not want to repeat what happened with 22-year-old American university student Otto Warmbier from Ohio, who was imprisoned by Pyongyang in January 2016 and returned to the United States in June 2017 in a coma. He died shortly after.
Otto’s parents, Fred and Cindy Warmbier, claimed their son had been "brutally tortured and murdered" and sued North Korea for wrongful death.
"Otto was taken hostage, kept as a prisoner for political purposes, used as a pawn and singled out for exceptionally harsh and brutal treatment by Kim Jong Un,” Fred said in a press conference, a day before the North Korean leader was supposed to meet with his Southern counterpart Moon Jae-in for the first time.
North Korea has, however, dismissed torture claims and blamed botulism and ingestion of a sleeping pill as the cause for Otto’s death. At the same time, it was reported that the release of the detainees was supposed to be a show of good faith on Pyongyang’s behalf – an impact that will not be effective if the prisoners end up meeting the same fate as Otto.
After newly appointed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo held a secret meeting with the North Korean leader over the Easter weekend, where they discussed the release of the three American detainees, a senior White House official told Associated Press that the president believed that “there’s a good chance” the trio would be released

There are certain credits you get for making less than a certain income and random shit like living alone or renting
not sure if the cut off is the same for all but I do know they don't ask for income tax if you make less than &11k a year
Which doesn't include loans

$80 over 3 months for 10% sales tax
that's $800 spent on taxed goods every 3 months
which is $267 on taxed goods every month
i do not buy many taxed goods and groceries are not taxed
and i don't pay income tax
so no i do not pay taxes
Anonymous F replied with this 8 years ago, 36 minutes later, 5 days after the original post[^][v]#886,809

that only holds true if you don't spend more than $800 every 3 months on stuff with 10% tax
guess you never buy clothes or a new phone or computer, besides a personal experience is not an argument
nothing in my post you felt the need to call incorrect was actually incorrect

I usually get clothes (most things really) from people not stores, and many are free or trades
How often do you get a new phone or computer? I got this phone for free
I don't spend more than $800 every 3 months on taxed goods or services
all I'm saying is that I in effect pay no taxes and therefore don't actually pay for my health care

poor people like anyone else pay taxes and contribute towards healthcare

When you pay taxes you'll want your government to be fiscally conservative. You'll also dislike people in your current situation because of their lack of contribution to the community. You might not always be a drain though, everyone starts off broke and at the bottom. My most recent tax bill is probably more than you earn.
How often do you spend the $80 on drugs?

no you don't, i was wondering when you'd pop back up
you're form holland, your healthcare is not free
and not only that you pay lots of taxes on lots of things
> The basic insurance policy will cover GP visits, general medical care, paramedic, ambulance, hospital stays, midwife care, basic rehabilitation and prescriptions. There is also a compulsory own-risk excess (eigen risico) where you will pay the first €385 (in 2018) of any medical costs excluding GP visits.
what a nice country, forcing anyone thats chronically sick or needs medicine to pay an own-risk excess

they don't refund the own risk excess and the rebate only covers the cheapest policy there is (94 euro max)
which is one where you cant even choose hospitals or other caregivers if you need them, they decide for you
but keep on thinking your health care is free, this is getting tedious

> they don't refund the own risk excess and the rebate only covers the cheapest policy there is (94 euro max)
i am aware. the cheapest policy covers pretty much all important things except dentistry > which is one where you cant even choose hospitals or other caregivers if you need them, they decide for you
depends on the specific policy you get, most of them give free choice or free choice with a few exceptions. i can go to any hospital > but keep on thinking your health care is free, this is getting tedious
keep on thinking trumps lack of healthcare is better
Anonymous F replied with this 8 years ago, 1 hour later, 1 week after the original post[^][v]#887,227
> > they don't refund the own risk excess and the rebate only covers the cheapest policy there is (94 euro max) > i am aware. the cheapest policy covers pretty much all important things except dentistry
except you can't choose which hospital, specialist or doctor you want, the insurance company decides for you
> > which is one where you cant even choose hospitals or other caregivers if you need them, they decide for you > depends on the specific policy you get, most of them give free choice or free choice with a few exceptions. i can go to any hospital
there is only 1 policy under 94 euro which has very limited hospital choice, not any hospital
> > but keep on thinking your health care is free, this is getting tedious > keep on thinking trumps lack of healthcare is better

ok i have effectively free healthcare. good?
Anonymous F replied with this 8 years ago, 13 minutes later, 1 week after the original post[^][v]#887,305

effectively free unless you actually need it beyond a gp visit and then still all medicine has to be paid till your own risk excess is reached
if you develop an illness or get hit by a car and need something from the pharmacy after your hospital recovery you'd have to pay for them until you paid the 385 euro own risk excess
