Noticed it today, I think the rear brake pads have gone (did the front pads in November so I don't think it's the front).

I've driven 85,000 miles on the factory rear brake pads so I guess I got my money's worth out of them.

Hopefully I haven't fucked the rotors too badly!

They are designed to do that to let you know. It will motnhsrd the rotors.

Finally got around to it. Driver's side rear inboard brake pad was worn to bare metal. The rotor is a bit gouged but I think it'll hold for a while (ie another ten years).

I saved over $100 by doing it myself ???

Meta do this please. Put holes in floor boards so you jam your foot down to the road to help you slow down when needed.
