Pavilions would be a more better form of Vons. What I really dislike about Vons is how they move good brands off the shelf in favor of the house brand aka Safeway brands. They got rid of all Boars head products so they could fill the cases with the Safeway stuff. Its ok stuff but not the high quality of Boars head and it costs the same.

All markets down my way are about to go on strike. Will just end up buying far more at Trader Joes and Stater cause Stater uses some other union set up and never goes on strike.
