That's the view from the house. It takes 30 mins to drive around the island, so I am going to explore for a bit before I find a pub or go for a swim or something

I've been snorkeling again, turns out my underwater camera is shit and doesn't work. I'll try to find one on the island. Booked a 4x4 buggy tour for next week.
Going to find out about the night time paddle boards with LED lights. Watched them go out to the nearby island for a fire dancing show last night. It looks cool as hell.

I danced with a couple of Dutch girls who were out of my league, but that's about it. This island is definitely not a party island, there's lots of folks here with their kids and retirees everywhere. It sure as shit doesn't go off on weeknights.

It's birthday party night tonight. The reason 20+ of us are here. The guys have done a brewery tour, and the girls have had massages and shit and come back from shopping with Hawaiian shirts for the lads.
Hawaiian shirts will be our official party-shirt™ for the night. I'm also rocking a large straw hat that I have shaped cowboy style and have some Rarotongan wayfarers. Shorts and jandals are standard issue island wear. Thanks

Haven't done shit so far today. Nice easy day, going to go to a friend's resort and get boozed later this afternoon. I went to town and bought a black pearl for my mum. Black pearls are only from Rarotonga and Tahiti apparently, there's about a dozen pearl shops on the island, and I think they are from fresh water clams or something. Most of them are pricey, around $2000+ this was $150

Oh yeah.
Went for an off-road mud buggy through a huge abandoned mafia resort. We went and washed up at the waterfall afterwards, played 10 golf shots to win our cost back, were taken for lunch, and then drove the "road legal" buggys back.
Really lucked out at the waterfall. Got warned about visiting the mosquito water dribble, but it was a great waterfall and swimming hole that must have just refilled overnight and the mozzies hadn't hatched, I guess.
Then the next day I flew home in the afternoon and arrived last night, which was tommorow at the time because date lines.
No photos of the waterfall. I took my friends son in the buggy, and he used my underwater camera for some blurry, muddy vids.
