No reason was given, but I think one of my threads tickled the admin the wrong way and they banned me for a subject they disagreed with which seems common on almost every forum of this type. Most of my posts there were YouTube video shares like Vsauce, Mister Metokur, explanations as to why one may use adblocker, reasons why ProBoards charges too much for simple features that are included for free in alternatives, and a guide about how one could train themselves to be emotionless. Not sure what may have triggered the admin/staff, but I also provided .edu links related to the posts I would make as a citation. Maybe they didn't like arguments in general or saw my rants / posts as trolling.

I'm not exactly sure and I cannot get into the forum without a proxy since I just see a white screen with black text in the center saying I was banned, but I think the admin was upset because I said something they didn't like or that I tried to argue a lot of their points raised in threads in an overly "academic" tone with lots of .edu citations.

It was just a general discussions board. Nothing really special. I've found a few communities that are worth coming back to though like Discussion Time which interesting enough also had a falling out with ProBoards and the people on ProBoards Support. It really does feel like ProBoards forums were the original safe spaces before Tumblr existed. Most of the others, including this one, all feel sheltered and one sign I discovered is when the admin starts thanking you for making a post as if they were a bot.
