While New York City's murder rate has gone down - decreasing by around 87 per cent since the 1990's - the Big Smoke’s has simultaneously surged. London's has increased by nearly 40 per cent in the space of three years alone - not including deaths caused by terrorist attacks.

Banning guns is the solution to shootings so banning knives is the solution to stabbings.
I just find it interesting the UK has pretty tight gun laws but London is beating NYC in murders. Of course NYC (and DC, and Chicago, etc) also have pretty draconian gun laws but a lot of guns come into those cities from areas where it's easier to get guns. London of course doesn't have that problem because the whole UK is a gun-free zone.
But the London murder rate is going up. A lot.

You should consider moving to London. As I can see you're too afraid to take your own life, the chances are high that someone will do it for you. Begone, fat ass.

Why aren't you doing something about that? Absolutely appalling.

What they need is a mass stabbing to happen at a school in London. Then a couple of kids that survive can become public policy experts and be given a platform by left-wing media in an attempt to take all the knives. Or at least stop high capacity sharpening stones, and tactical serrated edges.

also, please make use of the Poisson distribution to calculate related probabilities

Well, if you count total murders throughout history London still comes out above New York, and knives are historically the most popular murder weapon.
C'mon... At least he's being creative about cooking the numbers to score cheap points.

London also has a higher getting-bombed-by-germans number, which I find interesting. They used another statistical distribution to decide if the bombs were guided or essentially random, and concluded that they were not guided.

It's possible that the Germans were just firing rockets into the sea because they hate fish and accidentally hit London along the way. Modeling frequency and location of strikes with a Poisson distribution makes it look good for the fish, but you can't trust the Poisson distribution where fish are concerned. Obvious conflict of interest.
