Topic: How come it seems like women's clothing are more expensive than men's?
??? !TGirlYJKXM started this discussion 8 years ago#73,745
I wish there was a clothing store I could go where I could find some nice clothes for cheap low prices. I think there is ROSS and that's about it.
I really want to dress nice and conservatively since I don't want to dress like some tranny hooker slut. The one part of my body that I might be liberal over would be my legs since I honestly think they are my best feature.
Yet it seems like every damn store that has nice clothing that appeals to me it costs almost $50 just for one jacket or one top. Now I know there will be that one anon telling me to get a job and yes, I agree with you, I need a job. I've been moving on that, well, not really as I've been too preoccupied with school.
It's like these clothing retailers' primary audiences are women with money or women who have husbands who give them shopping money. It feels easier to try on a new wardrobe on The Sims.
My apologies as this entire thread has essentially just been me bitching and whining. ???

What about Target?

Because women care what their clothes look like, so they'll pay more for stuff. Guys are just like "Does it fit? Ok then we're good."

Target is expensive compared to Wal-Mart.

That makes sense, but still, there are women out there who can't afford the fancy things and still like to look good so they clearly shop somewhere.
Shit, I know an older well off woman who does her clothes shopping at Goodwill for whatever reason, she never wears the same thing twice.
I really should go through Goodwill to see what I could find, but I'm always afraid to look through the women's clothing section by myself.

I presume that includes Goodwill, right?
I thought about checking out Salvation Army. I've just been too chicken shit to go down there since it's located in an area notorious for criminal activity.

Just tell the clerks you are buying sexy stuff for your sister.

Uhh, wouldn't the word "sexy" generate some weird looks?

Just say you are buying the stuff for your ugly sister.

Nobody is going to give a fuck that you are buying clothes...

You are probably correct, but this area is a well known conservative area with hints of gang activity. There is a reason why I am contemplating gun ownership.

We just stopped by ROSS and I found a few things since I need new clothes since my other ones that I bought (sizes: L and XL) don’t fit me right now. I found a cute pink hoodie and a few other things.

Well the Salvation Army as an organization is notoriously anti-LGBT, so I wouldn't feel too bad about not giving them business or money. But if you do, then school theater productions or early Halloween shopping make great excuses for not discussing your purchases with that lady glaring at you from behind the counter.

Women's clothes are so much more comfortable than men's. Not sure if it's the material they use or it's just the feeling of being right when wearing them, but they are cozy.

Salvation Army is an anti-LGBT organization?

Supply and demand. Women always want new clothes. Men will wear clothes until they are literally rags and then buy new clothes.

They have a history of refusing assistance and housing to openly LGBT people, firing those who work for them, and funneling the tax-free money people give them into pretty homophobic political causes. They've tried to clean up their image in recent years. (They've managed to stop endorsing shock-the-gay-away reeducation camps - very progressive!) Ultimately, paying them a few dollars for some clothes someone gave them for free isn't going to change the world, but it's interesting to know what that organization you're giving business to does with it's money.

Oh, they could fuck themselves, but that might be seen as homosexual to them. So they are like Chick-fil-A, only that they don't entice gays with delicious chicken?
