Topic: Are there such things as white people who hate being white...

Because they literally hate being white? I know this is true, because I am one of these people, but I literally hate having pale skin. I always burn up in the hot sun, I think it's gross looking whenever the sunlight hits it, I look like a corpse when that happens, and honestly I don't even think it looks sexy. I wish I had some color variation to my skin, but it's just fucking white.

Yeah. They have this website called tumblr. It's pretty obscure, you've probably never heard of it.

Tumblr is about hating being white for political and social reasons. Do they have haters there who literally hate having pale skin?

I think transracialism is real and works much the same way as transsexualism.

I'm willing to remain open about it, but there has been nothing noteworthy to give me the suspicion that it's a real thing.
But this isn't a transracial thing.

Catherine, I have no problem whatsoever with being white. Occasionally, however, I feel ashamed of being a member of the human race.

It certainly sounds like racial dysphoria.

What? I suppose my interest in other cultures than the ones that are subscribed to my heritage would be racial dysphoria too, aye?

If a male talked this way about having a male body, what would you say? He has gender dysphoria.

Fair enough, although, it just seems like if a white person hated their pale skin they would try to tan, unless, tanning is a means of transitioning to a different color shade. ?

No it doesn't
It sounds like being annoyed at having sunburns and other inconveniences caused by pale skin
sunburns still baffle me

That's only one part of it though. If Cathy hates the way her skin looks, thinks it looks gross, and wishes it were a different color, she has dysphoria.

Couldn't it also mean that I've considered finding a method of tanning without burning?

I mean, like, if I made a long list of reasons why I hate my male body and wished I had been born female and one of those was "not getting my nuts crushed on the frame of my bike when I crash" it wouldn't necessarily mean "oh Meta doesn't really have dysphoria he just wants to avoid testicular injury".
I'd say gender dysphoria is a spectrum rather than a binary. There are some people who, say, enjoy crossdressing occasionally but don't necessarily want to go through HRT and SRS and live as a woman 24/7. There are other people who will literally commit suicide if they can't transition to female. I would think racial dysphoria is similar.
