Toys "R" Us is closing its doors. K-Mart, which amazingly hung in there, is officially going bye-bye. Target is also now being targetted. Retail is officially dying and I cannot help but think that this is because we as a society have become too addicted to social media, our mobile phones, and maybe even obesity that we cannot get off of our fat asses to go to the store. We have to have everything come to us because it's too convenient. I too am guilty of this shit. Then we have people like this who won't step up and realize that industries die because there is no more consumer base so they try to blame all of this on Amazon when they were the ones who put them in that position. The internet and automation will most certainly cause the death of capitalism since this means jobs will be even more scarce and no, Mr. Trump, coal mining isn't exactly a job of the future. I can imagine future towns would literally just be all residential where residents remain within their homes glued to their tiny screens and not socializing with anyone outside of the internet, not even family.
"Yeah, I'm a millennial, but I don't want to be."
It appears that I might actually be a wrecker of industry. At least, whenever I see a major retail chain go under this is how it makes me feel.

Nah. The current infrastructure that allows us to browse from an online catalog and order directly from suppliers or warehouses has just cut out the middleman of brick-and-mortar stores. Why worry about whether your local store has the shirt you like in your size when you can order it and have it delivered? Retail is taking a hit for the same reason movie theaters, newspapers, and magazines are - there's no need to go to a physical place to get content or transact business in a lot of cases. Retail stores won't die out, but they won't be as important as they once were.

And we should get used it now because 30 years from now you won't even interact with other people in physical space.

But what happens to that human experience? This is mostly directed at movie theaters. Also, if you buy your clothes online, how do you try it out before you buy? What if you get the wrong size?

I doubt any of it will die out completely. It just won't be what it was anymore than record stores or video arcades are a thing today.

You gain or lose weight to fit.

How do you know your measurements? You can use a tape measure all you want but you won’t really know if something fits unless you try it on. And usually it is too late by the time you receive your package ?.
And people go out to the movies as a group. They tend to sit together. They whisper to one another. It’s a social experience. People tend to make comments, especially those of the older generations. Going to the movies by yourself can even cause depression for some damn reason.

Go to Salvation army store. Try on bra-dress-panties-high heel shoes etc. Make list of labels for size fit.
Go home and delice youself. Place order online.

Dressmakers tape, not a construction style measuring tape. You can actually get accurate measurements that way
I dunno I always preferred having people come over and watching movies on the projector

You have a projector?! You are really making me miss it when we had one. We even had a large pull down screen too. It was like we got to go to the cinema every day for movies that were no longer playing.
And that is what I am saying. I measure myself with the tape a lot, but I will never know what fits me unless I try something on almost as if it is impossible to get an accurate size since the measurements always seem to be between inches.

Yeah, it's not super high quality but its fucking awesome
Use centimètres not inches. And just default to the size up, it's easier to make things smaller than bigger. Learn how to measure yourself, you're probably not doing it right.

Also if a shirt or shorts are too small I rip the seams between the front and the back panels and put something in between to make it bigger. Laces, or my roommate crochets things.
