if you mean shitty videos shot on a phone, well that's because programmers are retarded and think the preview you get while recording should match the actual shot video. There's no reason vertically shot video cant be widescreen except for retarded program designers.

The preview you get should match what you're recording though lol

They could just make the preview smaller and actually shoot full widescreen video. But again, they're retards.

Yes but you need to be able to frame your shot

Just make the fucking preview smaller, it doesn't need to fill the entire screen for you to frame your shot.

Then you'd have a viewfinder that's like a third of the screen. Just rotate your phone.

These fuckin phone videos, I've seen wider lines in emission spectra from the next galaxy over

@871,086 (C)
Why is that a problem if you just want to frame your shot?

This is possibly one of the best Internet comments I've seen recently. 10/10

My solution to the problem of shitty vertical videos is fine and you know it.

it is not. what if you want to take a vertical video? what if, like a normal person, want to use your entire screen?

Do not take vertical videos

not your decision to make sorry

You need an app that warns you you are about to take a vertical video and to stop immediately and turn your damn phone sideways

OP
Chinese people have narrow eye slits. View is always wide screen.
