Since there is no scientific proof for the existence of a soul, it is very unlikely.

It means that I might be spiritual. I have a sort of cognitive dissonance when it comes to subjects like God, however.

Yea based on bible passages you end up not coming out so much so good.
Locally and I do mean locally - A city councilman of my town and his husband cough cough tried to get their kid into a Christian school - High cost type of school and school said your family values are not are family values so no thanks n take your business elsewhere - This made last nites news.

When you say husband, do you mean a gay couple or a transwoman? Also, they should have looked for LGBT affirming Sunday schools if they exist. I am currently looking for an LGBT affirming church to discuss these new found feelings of spirituality. Plus we aren't suppose to judge others since there is only one who acts as the judge. Of course, having hostility toward "Jesus the Jew" doesn't help anyone's chances of getting into Heaven either.

I'm still not sure how to answer this, but the moment that I came to terms with who I am it felt like an epiphany that set me on track toward a better relationship with God as weird as that may sound. The cognitive dissonance comes into play because some of my atheistic thinking.

Gay couple.
They do attend an Episcopal church - The school they chose is the most best rated - Now the couple wanted a quality school with Christian values - Odd considering the bible they read has loads of passages about how they do not exactly fit in
> Plus we aren't suppose to judge others since there is only one who acts as the judge.
Who is this WE? And Judges in your hood are paid to Judge. Me I do that as a volunteer

One can roll the dice but belief in any after life is worse than playing Russian Roulette and clicking 7 times on a six shooter

How can you have a relationship with a being that you don't believe in?

That's why I noted the cognitive dissonance. I think I am only starting to believe, but my atheistic thinking is what makes me doubt those beliefs. But once I started to look at God with a perspective of a programmer/author/artist in general the more it started to make sense to me. This is, of course, only an assumption that is likely to be as untrue as it is true, but still, it felt as if something just clicked in my brain.

You can be spiritual and build on those feelings without having to work around the structure of someone else's belief. There's a lot of wonder to be felt at the crazy complexity of the world. Sometimes it's enough to appreciate that feeling without having to turn it into God or Allah or anything else.
