Truth is - after all these years all of a sudden lots of web stuff has become browser dependent. I use sites that worked with 3.6.6 and now do not work well with FF 4.0
I use a site daily that works 95% well with FF. 4 and CHROME but for uploads it needs IE8 and all of this is a recent event re upgrade on Apache server. The server upgrade was NOT 100% compatible with the Software for the site I use. Server side had to do fixes and they still need to do more FIXES
Browsers load in fast so just try another

On another fora I used to frequent, people are complaining that certain new versions of Firefox cannot upload files at all.

I still cannot understand the meaning or etymology of that phrase.

If it does then it will work. The javascript code checks for the compatibility of one of the APIs (FormData) and if it's nonexistant it hides the button. If the button itself doesn't work then it doesn't support opening file dialog from anchor links, or accessing the file contents through javascript.

Just switched over from Chrome to FF 4.0 and no go on uploading

Good think I R Hardware BSEE and not Software person cause this API I thought was a "function call" and its just easy for me to see why things might change on the UNIX Server side and no longer pass to the functions as a return value, but for the life of me I cannot figure why when 3.6.6 worked in the past it would not work now, but can only take OP as an example that fits everyone's 3.6.6 until someone else cums along and verifies.

Again I dumped Opera re a hijack that still pisses me off!!
Hummmmmmm lets try this again - post did not go and maybe just maybe FF4 does work on uploads here after all - the image I tried worked a bit ago with Chrome and error message for same exact Gif is
