Topic: Thanks liberals for politicizing the weather!

It used to be weather was the ONE thing you could make small talk about to anybody. Stuck in an elevator with an awkward silence? "Boy, sure is a lot of rain we had lately!"
You could say this to anyone, regardless of sex, age, race, creed, orientation. Rachel Maddow and Andrew Anglin don't agree on much but they could both agree it was indeed quite rainy the past week.
Now it's become a republican/democrat issue. "Boy sure is a lot of rain this week!" "OF COURSE THERE IS THE FUCKING RETHUGLICUNTS REFUSE TO ACCEPT SCIENCE WHICH SAYS THE EARTH IS BECOMING A FURNACE BECAUSE OF SUV DRIVING!!!!"
Now you might as well be making small talk about Roe v Wade.
Thanks a fucking million, democrats. This is why we can't have nice things.

Can you at least give us something new to make small talk about? Something which is universally relatable, but also completely inoffensive and won't upset anyone?

"On average, it was hot last year"-must be global warming.

Let's believe the scientists who obviously don't have ulterior motives.
