With the rise of robotics, they have finally managed to strip all underclasses of their low wage work. Machinery will be replacing more and more human employees. To make matters worse, citizens of western civilization will continue to elect officers stuck in the past to lead them. While many may suspect their governments to pass a bill for a living income for the proletariat. This would never happen when those same politicians belong to the bourgeoisie. The positive side to this grim future is for the environmentalists concerned about the overpopulation of the planet as this would become a form of population control once most of the proletariat dies off. The irony of a living income for the proletariat would be that it is a form of socialism and welfare which is something that has been heavily frowned upon as well as fought against.
