First 6 months after I moved here from LA for Qualcomm I lived in La Mesa. Jackson drive off ramp right up the side of the hill overlooking the Burger joint that sells cars.

Know Tulare only due to multiple trips to Kings Canyon park one hell of a place to play and climb and play lol
Qualcomm put me up in a fancy Hotel and a gal dance friend said no way and I stayed with her off Del Mar heights road for a couple of months - Someone suggested a place they owned and moved out of in La Mesa and I said sure. Made little difference where I moved to at the tyme re world travel for Qualcomm. However that first summer on return I said WTF? re heat and found a place to buy in Carlsbad but fell in love with Cardiff by the Sea and ended up buying both places. Cardiff place needed a lot of work so it worked out just super with my World Travels.
