I know nowadays it is customary to use the calculator apps on your smartphone devices, but there is something about the physical object known as a calculator that rocks my world. Knowing that you just have it right there sitting on your desk without having to open up an application on your computer or look up the calculations on Google. I also appreciate the "calculator wars" during the seventies for paving the way for the computer revolution and later the digital revolution. Never underestimate the power of a nice calculator.

I hate how these stupid phones are pretending to make things obsolete when they just provide less good versions of everything
