This winter semester was technically my return, but I don't count it since it was mostly just a guidance class to get some extra help with notetaking and my learning disability assessment course.
This is the start of the Spring 2018 semester for me and I am taking the only English course I need for graduation since I tested into the highest level at the campus. I will also be taking Mathematics 42 which is elementary algebra. I hope the accommodations that I was provided would help me learn the material better. I am so freakin' tired of always having to retake algebra either due to some bullshit within academia (credits from middle school don't count so you must retake it in high school even though you aced the class) or my incompetence.
This semester also marks my first (volunteer) job as I will be the Representative for the Gay-Straight Alliance student club. The job entails passing on what was discussed in the weekly meetings to the meetings with all of the other club representatives on campus. I will be taking notes in my notebook.
I swear, I seriously doubt how the fuck my test results came back saying that my spelling was top notch and that I didn't even need a spell checker as an accommodation. I had to rely on the spell checker just to write this post.

I am seriously sick of taking algebra over and over again. Especially when every time I take it I feel like I excel at it. The first time was in middle school, but for some damn reason, I had to retake the course in high school because the credits from middle school weren't eligible for graduation. And I didn't learn a damn thing because the class was disruptive as shit forcing the teacher to either A) punish the entire class like kindergarten kids or B) couldn't focus on every student. That was the year when they took me out of the RSP (Resource Specialist Program) because they felt like I could have kept up with the regular speed of the classes. Oh, how I wish I stayed in that program since I would have most likely learned more there than in the regular class. I really want to move on to more complicated math, but if I don't master the basics of fucking algebra I cannot do that. I never even got to learn geometry in high school.

At least you didn't fail 2 semesters of Geometry, then be forced to take it over the summer online, then fail all of Algebra the next year, only to have to retake that and fail the first semester AGAIN, now having to take it online during school because you're a special snowflake.

Damn, bro, that is pretty bad. I'm sorry you had to retake those courses that many times. I guess, at least, you got to geometry. :-)

Geometry is like third grade through 8th grade.

Geometry is taught in 3rd grade?

Yes you learned to draw lines and maybe even a triangle which is the foundation of Trig and Geometry
Perhaps a box? Lopsided is even more better

Oh, that, I was questioning why the more advanced calculations were done in 3rd grade. Also, is graphing a part of Geometry or Algebra? I never quite understood that because I was told that is within the realms of Geometry although this is something that is also taught in Algebra.

Only recently did I become aware that they are teaching the basics in 3rd grade - Just type in 2Google
Teaching Geometry
> Also, is graphing a part of Geometry or Algebra?
Currently I am spending about 75% of my consulting time on 5G and beyond 5G stuff and Graphing is now one of the 1st steps in the design process for waveforms desired b4 one starts with the math to achieve. This ends up saving a lot of time as well as ending up with less processor time to crank out the math necessary.
Also 5G uses truly advanced antenna technology for beam forming and one again starts out with a graph and then attempts to make this happen with circuits and programs

hasn't it been like 20 years since you first took algebra?

they can interrelate lots of stuff in math -- it's called analytic geometry, that is coordinate geometry, where you use the grid and points with position numbers. Algebraic equations are there all over the place to calculate distances, to generate curves, and so on.
Even without that, you can make patterns such as how many diagonals can you draw in a polygon of n sides -- an equation can tell you.

@previous (Sheila LaBoof) > how many diagonals can you draw in a polygon of n sides
And in Beta design for 5G we use that to locate you and spit out a signal directly to you and avoid your neighbors - New beam forming technology stolen from super radar techniques - You in return do the same with the phone and save battery life and maybe even your brain
