What's really cool is how it works. A positively charged polymer in your vas deferens/epididymis (they weren't perfectly clear on which) "zaps" sperm, which are negatively charged. Sounds crazy. I wonder how it's able to hold that positive charge for so long, and how it doesn't lose its charge from zapping load after load.

Pretty scary getting needles right in the balls though.

My guess is that he was studying sperm to try to come up with a new form of birth control, and it occurred to him that because sperm are negatively charged, a positive charge would kill them. I'm guessing the negative charge has something to do with the alkaline nature of semen. What I wanna know is how he came up with and tested this polymer. Who the fuck injects something into a seminal vesicle to see what will happen?

I would assume animals first, especially since this type of birth control has almost nothing to do with genetics and is pure chemistry/physics. Still kinda fucked up though.
