Topic: Things are changing in my life and I am scared.

I am now a representative for a club at my community college. This would allow me to put something else on my resume. 2018 might be the year that I expect many changes in my life. I might have my first job in my life. I am terrified.

I actually learned there is quite a bit I could put on a resume. Fortunately, for me, my community college has programs that can help me get more information about employment.

yep, it's all about how you spin/phrase things
if you're good enough at it you can spin being in charge of a WoW guild good enough to put on your CV and make it look good

not in the sense of outright saying something you didn't do
ie
x times weekly managed/co-ordinated group of y people for ...
in conversation yeah totally that's a fuckin lie
on a resume i would be less scrupulous

On second thought, it might be good in a diversity hire way.

I was advised that I don't have to disclose the name of the club. I could just put that it was a club and my position in it. They aren't allowed to really ask about sexuality or anything of that nature. And you could always change your resume at any time.

Though personally would leave it off mine, if I were Cathy. It just seems weird to put something about your sexuality (unless it was like applying for a job at an LGBTQ advocacy group or something) on a resume. Just stick to skills, education and experience.

I am willing to give you a detailed answer, but I want to talk to you through on IRC if that isn't that big of an issue.
@previous (Meta)
This is what my student employment advisor said. Basically, it's not so much related to the sexuality or gender identity as it is just being in a club. This goes the same had it been another club.

I know your resume can't just be a blank sheet of paper with your name on it. Can you volunteer? Or maybe put business courses you've taken?

I already have ideas for what to put on it and there is actually quite a bit that I didn't think I could put on it. Technically, I am already volunteering for this club position, and all club positions look great on a resume.
