you guys just can't not fall for click bait, just wow. this is a State of the Union thread, suckers.

So, trump stayed on script. i'm literally shocked. except for the blatant lies and half truths it was a pretty good speech. he sounded coherent, had a dry nose, and managed not to mock anyone openly. i dare say he's almost as presidential as Bush Jr's bird dog. so lets talk about what he said. anyone got any opinions?

4 pillars of immigration?
keeping Guantanamo open?
infrastructure plan?
"right to try" experimental medical procedures?
low cost prescription drugs?

i mean some of this shit is typical, fine bipartisan bullshit. some of it's not. we'll see what actual policy comes from any of this. what're y'alls thoughts?

i thought it was laughable anytime he talked about morality, and i suspect there was a lot that's being fact checked that's... just not even remotely true. "clean coal," for instance. utter. bullshit. it's the republican's version of "global warming" if climate change was an actual hoax being perpetrated. it's been projected onto "clean coal" and is entirely misleading nonsense.

and has the stock market really gained 8 trillion dollars in value in the last few months, did i even hear him right when he said that? someone who actually heard that, if i'm wrong correct me but that sounds like something that'll get fact checked by someone anyway. 8 trillion, man, that's a lot. that's like a 50% increase in overall GDP, that's great! if it's true. if i even heard it right, cause i think that's probably fucking bullshit.

how about you guys? hollow words with little reason to believe them? an immoral and laughably crooked liar making empty gestures and taking praise and credit for the accomplishments of the people?

or did he actually have the most accomplishments of any president in the history of the world and do more to fix this country than any person ever has in the whole country and get the most stand ovations in the history of the State of the Union?
