so sit back and enjoy another World of Warcraft character backstory and/or update thread before the coming apocalypse!i finally did it, i boosted my death knight. i've decided for the sake of head cannon that he's not a gnome, but instead he's a human child turned death knight. except for the possibility of having a beard it kinda works out.
anyway, that's him with the Lich King, who is apparently the DK class hall leader. it's pretty great, after he was "killed" in the Lich King expansion a noble Paladin werged with the armor of the Lich King and keeps the forces of the undead from turning towards the legion again. so he's a "good guy" now, kinda.
and my little DK is like his trusted general now. and to fight the legion the Lich King wants to rebuild his undead army... because that went so well before. but now my death knight is basically the new Deathbringer Saurfang.

yup. old gringo the deathlord they call him.and he even gets to make his own Frostmorne, the Ebon Blade under the leadership of the new Lich King have created a new forge of souls. a much smaller one this time, but it does the same thing. kill a thing, catch it's soul, forge it into your weapon. it's just that easy.

and the lich king granted him the ability to permanently resurrect things as undead monstrosities. not only can he res dead players into unholy zombies that can attack things and explode, but he's also been tasked with rebuilding the Lich King's elite forces, starting with the Four Horsemen. these guys were a raid boss back in the day, and killed during the Return of the Lich King era. the Lich King needs new horsemen, so my DK has to go to Durotar and raise a Horde General from the dead. sounds like fun, it's right outside the Capital.
