Here is a clip from the recently restored 1930 film King of Jazz. Notice the lack of blue -- the Technicolor of the time was "two strip" and they did not yet have the ability to reproduce blue. Indeed, Rhapsody in Blue appears green in the film. This clip features an appearance by Bing Crosby before he became a solo act.
