I can accept that aliens exist. I can accept that maybe they have been to earth. As for abductions, I believe that something definitely happened to those people. My first instinct is to say demons, because obviously that is my area of knowlege and expertise, and the experiences fit demonic torture. That being said, I guess alien abduction is possible. I just am not sure that the government really knows much about it.

See, I think that the government gets VERY interested in any reports of events that could pose a security threat or disrupt the social order, and they have been actively studying UFO phenomenon for many decades. I will say it's not clear if the men in black are actually real people or government related at all. They could be aliens themselves.
