I cannot help but wonder if this is due to those who attached themselves to the transgender community as a means of giving themselves a form of identity and then realized that this wasn't something they wanted to do. While I praise the public focus on trans issues naturally, I cannot help but feel like this is a good thing considering that now there is a chance that those who actually have gender dysphoria wouldn't have to be afraid to be associated with a bunch of retards from Tumblr. Again, identity politics is horrible.

Maybe surgery shouldn't be so fucking pushed? HRT effects can mostly be reversed, especially in regards to detransitioning MTFs.

Is SRS really that pushed though? I do not recall hearing that much about it in terms of those who "identify". It seems like whenever you hear about transtrenders they always try to justify their genitalia. While, there is some truth to what they say, but I doubt they realize that.

The HRT can most certainly be reversed, except for breast and sperm count. And even then breasts can be removed with male breast reduction surgery.
The sperm count not so much, but that depends on how long they were on the hormones.
This is working with the assumption that they didn't go through sexual reassignment surgery yet, though.
