The last thing I want to do is see the potato. I hate knowing that I am eating a potato. I also peel the potato skin off before I eat the fries.

The entire fry is never covered in potato skin. If that were the case, I'd never bother with them. I don't know where you're from but the brown part of a potato is called potato skin where I'm from. The whole fry would not have potato skin on it because the potato skin is only on the outside of the potato.

I prefer to cook my fries with the skin on, but then I use a knife and fork to trim away the skin like a rind.
