I usually don't blame Minichanners asking dumb questions but if I say I peel the potato skin off the fries, clearly I meant the brown part.

Minichan must be the world’s greatest collection of people who have no concept of good food.

The entire fry is never covered in potato skin. If that were the case, I'd never bother with them. I don't know where you're from but the brown part of a potato is called potato skin where I'm from. The whole fry would not have potato skin on it because the potato skin is only on the outside of the potato.

I prefer to cook my fries with the skin on, but then I use a knife and fork to trim away the skin like a rind.
