Do your cats and dogs get along? When I was a kid, we had a dog that used to play "mother" to our three cats. One of them used to put up with it in long-suffering silence, but the other two often got up and walked away every time the dog tried to "groom" them. It was kind of like this:

They get along pretty well. The dog and Pugsley play a lot, they are evenly matched and like to chase each other. They don't really groom each other, at most Vinny will snuffle Pugsley. Toby will sometimes beg for Vinny to snuffle/lick him, which Vinny will do sometimes, but he's easily intimidated and doesn't like Vinny to chase him. Sometimes Vinny seems unable to control himself and will start chasing the cats when they are not interested. Pugsley then smacks him.

Y'know, it's kind of amazing how Izzy and Samson can have a closer relationship than a married human couple. I can't see those two arguing about whose turn it is to do the dishes or whatever.
