holy shit you guys are gullible, i wish i could see the looks on your faces when you see this is another World of Warcraft character update thread. my priest finally got her class mount and had a little quest to go on to get them. apparently they were designed by the titans to be the mounts for the Watchers who are like ancient stewards of Azeroth. Magni Bronzebeard led the way with his brother the famous Archaeologist Brann Bronzebeard. Magni happens to be made from diamonds. it's a very long story.

magni can "talk" to the planet because he's made from diamonds now. i actually forget how this happened, but if i remember correctly he was out hunting basilisks and he looked one in the eye and instead of turning to stone like most folks he turned into diamonds and the dwarves placed him in a special chamber beneath Iron Forge, the dwarf capital. he was like their king i think, the bronzebeards are still in power unless i'm mistaken, but anyway after he came back to life several expansions ago he's been talking to Azeroth and learning secrets that blow his brother's mind.

but, he's not all knowing or anything. he's not really sure what's going on either.

usually on a quest like this with Brann it's a huge clusterfuck involving secret levers, hidden doors and dangerous booby traps, but Magni apparently knows how to open titan vaults and we just waltz right in.

after a brief battle with a broken security system trying to exterminate us the stewards finally give up their mounts.

got all three at the same time. i guess only rogues have to spend gold to buy the color variants. and my shaman got all of hers for free too. and so far the only hard quest was the rogue quest, that shit had her going to very far away places and do PvP in the middle of the Orgrimmar Auction house (which was actually super fun.)
this quest was like half cutscene. and the shaman quest was super easy too. go kill 3 elites that hit like kittens.

the shaman mount is especially bad ass though.

that pretty much does it for shit i know about that i wanted, barring discovering some other "must-have" item then that pretty much does it for my rogue my priest and my shaman. I'm still going to finish the game by completing the final raid when the last wing opens up in a few weeks, but aside from that there's nothing else i want to do on them. i did end up raiding my shaman a little bit, but it wasn't all that spectacular. since she's melee it's not a vastly different experience from my rogue.
i haven't decided if i'm going to raid my priest at all, if i do it'll be as a Shadow priest and just DPS, i'm not healing for shit anymore. i really don't think i like it at all. i could try again, i've never healed as Holy, but meh, just seems like a huge pain in the ass.
I'm thinking i'm pretty much done with her except for maybe enchanting and tailoring. i could get her maxed on those and get her setup for a head start in the next Expac, but i think enchanting is going to be expensive to level and probably not worth it at this point. people are still raiding, so i guess there's a market for enchants but she's pretty far from max level so i probably can't make any money with it at this point.
I've started running my warrior again, i'm at least taking him to level cap. i couldn't care less about his class mount, but they're easy to get once you get the first one (the first one requires an account wide achievement meaning you only need to get it once.) i did decide to go ahead and level him as a tank, which isn't really the fastest way to level but it'll guarantee he gets all gear specialized for tanking which will make him viable in dungeons.
probably it won't be very hard to tank with him, most people at this point are pretty well geared coming out of the gate. there are plenty of ways to get caught up in gear, so most people will be over geared for the content i'll be playing with. but, i still expect to get quite a few people killed learning. the secret though is blaming the healer. always blame the healer.

oh yeah, i forgot there's stuff to do with the King of Gilneas, which is where Garegarah is supposed to be from. Still not sure how he was leveled as a tauren and somehow become a human werewolf.
squeegee (OP) undecuple-posted this 8 years ago, 18 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^][v]#848,297
okay, he was raised by Tauren. see, they're cows. they wouldn't find a baby human in the wild somewhere and eat it, like an orc would, or sell it for gold like a goblin would do, the Tauren would raise it as their own. Tauren are overall pretty peaceful. And they're native to Azeroth and not aliens like Orcs and Draenei. the Tauren are kinda like indians. they just want to live in peace and do their herbalism. they're also a shamanistic culture more than a warrior culture, but they do have a warrior caste.
as a shapeshifting and dangerous baby worgen training him in their warrior ways might've been the safest outlet. and he might not've really even known he wasn't even a Tauren until he was older and couldn't ignore the differences. and the tauren starting zone stuff kinda started you off on your mystic journey of self discovery in the world. so, there we go.
raised by Tauren to be a warrior, set off into the world to find his home among his people. he got his start right after the Cataclysm, which is when it became known the city of Gilneas still existed, but still hid a dark secret. which was werewolves, of course. they're all werewolves.
