Topic: How might the future of the towns be without retail stores?

I can picture it would mostly consist of restaurants and residential housing with most of the jobs going toward industries like factories and distribution centers. This would last long as machinery will continue to replace human workers to where the government has to take more socialist actions to ensure the health and security of its citizens. This would cause much backlash since people are retarded and think this war with communism is still going on when really it was over once the Soviets failed. This would cause many people to die out due to not accepting these new socialist programs that they became qualified for, but only those who are too stubborn to see the big picture. We are truly living a time of total change and whether or not that change is good or bad remains to be seen.
