It is going to start having a fatigue on movie going audiences who always felt that seeing a Star Wars movie was a rare occurrence and now that it isn't then they might just loose interest. Disney needs that hiatus after Episode IX.

Episode VIII is starting to make less money than Episode VII so the chances of Episode IX making less is a strong possibility. It's the fatigue that is killing the profits since there has been a Star Wars movie released almost every year since 2015.
