I want After Effects, and would probably use some of the other programs in the suite too.

Should I pay the $20 a month? Anyone here used the creative suite before? Is it worth it?

Oh it turns out the entire suite is $50/month. It's $20 for just After Effects.

No, it is a ripoff. If it were a one-time fee, then fine, but this monthly crap is BS. Just use a pirated account.

If you allow companies to make a profit on subscription-based software, then it won't be long before they make subscription-based operating systems. Then it'll be subscription-based HD access, and finally, subscription-based peripherals.
