Tacoma doesn't have the money for maglevs.

You would bneed an electro magnet so powerful you would need a powerstation every mile just to power the rails.

Photo is city of Wenzhou located southeast of Shanghai China.
Terrible need perhaps for a bowl of that delish fake rice.
Reason for this Maglev crash is such that one cannot really blame Levitation for fail
However an accident in Germany clearly revealed that high speed trains can derail, whereas maglevs are designed not to. The accident in Lathen was not caused by mechanical failure, but by negligence of the operators; something that is often seen in other modes of transportation. A very few people realize that no human operator can react fast enough to brake at very high speeds.

@OP
Go ask your parents. Maybe they pity your stupidness enough to give you a simplified, logical explanation to all of your stupid questions that you ask here.

I meant in the picture. Don't tell me you put text into Powerpoint and then export the slide as a jpeg to upload here instead of just putting it in the reply field.

I was thinking more like how refrigerator magnets stick on the refrigerator. Make the wheels of the train magnetic and they'll stick on the rails.

pick one and only one
choose carefully

ok maybe if the wheels are stuck to the rails, we think of a way to move the rails

Make the magnets come in in an emergency. If it starts to derail the diesel electric locomotive power goes into big ass electromagnets that snap the train onto the rails.
