Estimates are that there are between 80 million and 100 million domesticated hives of honeybees in the world. Each hive has perhaps between 10,000 and 60,000 bees. So that alone is up to about 1 to 6 trillion bees (if I'm watching my zeroes correctly). The catch is: how many colonies of feral bees are there."
