Hi, I'm new here and need some advice. I'm a well-educated-swashbuckling-globetrotting-adventurer (pronounced as one word) and multi-skilled teacher of language and European/Chinese cuisine with a heraitage from Spain, France, Africa and unfortunately British male in his mid 40's (unmarried and childless)

Anyway, I would like to know if it is acceptable to accept a friends request from teenage girls I don't know or have any connection with on social media. But what I'm really after is someone to explain why it is acceptable as I'm just going to ignore anyone telling me otherwise.
